Awarded a PhD  for  studies  in  production  and  safety  of  food  of  animal  origin.  He  has  also attended further studies in animal health and production. He has worked in many research  projects  in  Italy  (University  of  Sassari, Istituto  Zooprofilattico Sperimentale della Sardegna, Regional Government of Sardinia, National Reference Centre  for  echinococcosis-hydatidosis,  Istituto  Zootecnico  Caseario  per  la Sardegna-AGRIS  Sardegna)  and  Nicaragua  Instituto  National  Tecnologico  and Ministry of Work). Currently, he is working as a member of staff at the Veterinary Faculty  of  University  of  Sassari  in  arasitology and  parasitic  diseases.  He  has published several papers in international and national refereed journals and his research activities focus on parasitic diseases of small ruminants.
